Welcome to the website of Badminton New Zealand's schools Badminton programme, bringing badminton to NZ kids in schools and clubs!

Racqueteers started in 2010 with a pilot and has the dream of inspiring kids to be badminton fanatics and seeks to achieve the greatest imaginable challenge of badminton being the no.1 played sport in schools. The programme is a fun way of introducing New Zealand children to the sport of badminton, whilst achieving standards of the NZ curriculum.

In the first year of the pilot we had 5000 children in 45 schools participate in the programme.  The programme offers a teacher training module and here you will find information on the Racqueteers programme itself, where it is being delivered and by whom, and have the opportunity to purchase resources. If you have any queries, questions, or comments please feel free to get in contact with us and we will do our best to help you!
